Rest in Peace Anne Pressly

I am so sad for the family of Anne Pressly. I can think of nothing worse than the loss of a child, especially the way they had to lose their sweet daughter. I did not know her, but I am very touched by her life and death. I am so very happy that today she is not in pain or in fear but in joyful happiness with her Savior. Rest in Peace beautiful girl.

Last night we had trunk or treat at our church. Mary Claire had a wonderful time with her friends. She ate way to much candy and had a hard time going to sleep. Paul went and got her and brought her to bed with us and I held her really tight all night. Thinking of Anne's mom, knowing she wishes she could still hold her sweet daughter. Jesus, be with the Pressly family tonight and always.

Lots of Fun!!!!

This weekend has been a lot of fun starting with getting our mums planted and watered then having fun splashing in the water... then race for the cure ( don't have any pics of it =( ) the race was great this is mary claire's 4th year to go and ride in the stroller..... then off to the pumpkin patch............ then finally our 2nd Annual halloween party for mary claire and her buddies. I think they really had a good time. We also got surprised by a visit by Pops and Cookie ( paul's grandparents) before the party, they just had to see mary claire in her costume. So, here are the rules:Thanks to my friend Shannon (oh and by the way, I tried to copy and paste the rules box to my post, but it wouldn't let me), I have to list 7 weird or random things about me and then tag others at the end. So, here it goes!!

1. I love to do fun and exciting things like bungee jumping ( i have twice) or parasailing. I really want to go skydiving, but it would scare Paul to badly =). I have been flying in a plane with one of my really good friends over the ocean.. just the two of us. I love roller coasters and thrills.
2. I am an only child. With this comes a lot of good and bad things. I dread them getting older and being responsible to make all the decisions by self. I love that we are so very close and We get all of their love and attention.
3. Last year, I surprised my Dad with an all expense paid trip to Kansas City with me and tickets to the Kansas City Chiefs game. It was awesome!!! That has been his favorite team since he was a child. Now I need to do the same thing for my mom, got any ideas??
4. I love to drink pickle juice... i know it sounds gross but I can't help it.
5. Paul and I got engaged after dating 8 months.
6. I like to go to the movies by myself. I love to go and sit and laugh and enjoy.
7. I love to sew. My good friend Rebekah taught me how and I am lovin it. I learned to smock and I really enjoy making baby blankets for my friend's little ones.

Fireproof

We went to see the movie Fireproof last night with our friends Greg and Tandee. It was so awesome. We really enjoyed it so much. The greatest message was Fireproof does not mean your marraige will not go through fires, it means you can stand up to the flames. Go see this movie!!!!!

when you know life is precious

You know life is precious when you have to watch someone fight for it so hard even though you know that are not going to live.
You know life is precious when you pray so hard for a baby to come into this world of uncertainty.
You know life is precious when you see a widow grieve so much that you can really feel her heart aching.
You know life is precious when you have a million things to do, but you find yourself sitting in the (dirty =) ) kitchen floor with your 3 year old to split a pear... and she smiles and laughs and you know life is precious.
This week I had a couple of my sweet patients from the nursing home pass away, I got to hold baby Pratt at our small group bible study, I got to watch my friend's parents plant 14 trees in her yard in one afternoon because they love her so much, and I realized now more than ever that I am so in love with my husband and my daughter. Life is precious.
