mountain harbor resort

paul and i had a wonderful annivesary weekend at mountain harbor resort- it is a beautiful place for a getaway!! we are thankful to my parents for keeping our sweet girls. i am pretty sure we fell in love with each other all over again. on the pillow was this message:

May the Lord bless you and keep you
May he make his face to shine upon you
and be gracious to you
May he lift up his countenance upon you
and grant you peace.
love it, love it, love it!!!

We are so blessed!

hate is a strong word, but I Hate CANCER

Paul's precious aunt Dena lost her battle with cancer last week, she was diagnosed with liver cancer in july. she was the funniest lady- i will truly miss her.
Our precious cousin Brian ( my age) is in the battle of his life with non- hogkins lymphoma.
Our pops was diagnosed this year with bladder cancer and has since had his bladder removed.
My dear friend Annette was diagnosed TODAY with breast cancer. I just got off the phone with her, she wasn't allowing me to make her feel better- she was trying to make ME feel better- what a lady?? Her faith is so amazing, she made me laugh through my tears.
I HATE CANCER, I DESPISE what it is doing to my family and friends- I plead for the mercy of Jesus and his healing to bring a miracle.

4month checkup- better late than never :)

Whitney is actually 5 months, but we had her 4 month check up today- she laughed and smiled at Dr. Stewart- she is the happiest baby in the whole world.
she weighs 13lb 12oz. and she is 24 1/2inches long... she is our tiny little baby girl- we think she may be petite like me ;) she sleeps blistfully all night, she loves her toys, she loves her bumbo chair, she loves looking and soaking up everything around her, she does not yet know what to do when you put cereal or baby food in her mouth-she LOVES mommy's milk, and I feel so blessed that breastfeeding comes easy for me and my babies. our lives are truly blessed with you little whitney rose :)

our beautiful mary claire

She is getting SO very big- she loves to play on our new swing set, she loves to do gymnastics ( her cartwheels are really gettng good), she loves barbie movies, she loves her baby sister so very much and is a huge help to us with whitney, she is my bestest girlfriend :)

Once your a mother

Someone may say it takes 6 weeks, or maybe a year to get back to "normal" after you have a baby-but somone doesn't know that once your a mother that kind of "normal" does not exist.
your heart, your mind, and your body are never normal- you live, dream, breathe these babies-it makes me feel a little crazy,it makes me so happy i cry, when i look in the mirror i see a different woman looking back(especially after the second baby); precious yes-"normal"-no,not even close.
I love my girls, i am proud to be with them in my new normal.
